Construction worker charged for stolen cars
The police in Portland have arrested and charged 34-year-old construction worker Tajhon Hunt, after he was found with two stolen cars in Hope Bay on Tuesday.
He has been charged with two counts of larceny of motor vehicle.
According to police reports, cops were conducting an operation in Cane Wood in Hope Bay between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., when two Toyota Probox motor vehicles were found.
Further checks from by the police revealed that one of the cars was reported stolen from Sherwood Forest on December 3, 2023. It was totally dismantled and the chassis numbers erased.
The other car was reportedly stolen from St Thomas on October 16, 2023.
Hunt was then subsequently arrested and, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 he was charged after a question-and-answer session in the company of his lawyer. His court date is being finalised.
