British resident held with 31 pounds of ganja

Cops assigned to the police's Narcotics division in St James arrested a British resident after he was found with 31 pounds of ganja while boarding a flight on Wednesday. 

It is reported the man was held at the Sangster International Airport about 3:50 p.m. while in the process of boarding a flight to Manchester, England.

After preliminary investigations, his luggage was searched and the illicit drug was found in his possession. The estimated street value of the substance is over $12 million.

He was subsequently arrested for reasonable suspicion of breaches of the dangerous drugs act. His identity is being withheld pending further investigations
