Prosecutors at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court are awaiting a medical certificate to determine the extent of the injuries sustained by a six-year-old, after he was hit in the head by his neighbour with a stone.

The victim's mother has expressed fear that her child could suffer the effects of the injury in the long time.

"He cry for his head at nights. I am very, very upset that this happen to my child," the mother said.

It was outlined in court that on January 31, the child and his twin brother were playing football when the ball ended up in the back of a van belonging to the accused, Leon Webb.

Webb, as allegations state, threw a stone hitting the child in his head, causing a wound which bled and left a scar. However, he denied the allegations.

"Me throw the stone but me never hit him, Webb said in an alleged caution statement.

Judge Cole-Montaque made Webb the subject of a fingerprint order. He was booked to return to court on April 25.
