Bid for revenge lands woman in trouble

A Corporate area woman, who was seeking to exact revenge for an incident which happened three years ago has ended up facing a criminal charge.

The defendant, Kishanique Brown, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Monday and is to be sentenced at her next court appearance..

When she appeared in court, Brown explained that she attacked the complainant on January 5 while the complainant was walking to a shop in the community, before she explained the reason for her action. The court was told that Brown used a knife to cut the complainant in the face then shortly after, used a piece of board to hit the complainant.

"Your Honour, it is just a constant thing between me and her and her family since 2021. She attack me from dem time deh and I reported it, but I never go further cause her people dem have gun," Brown told presiding judge Carlo Mason.

The judge accepted Brown's guilty plea and adjourned the matter until May 14, when she is to be sentenced.
