Digicel postpaid customer gets honeymoon of her dreams

Excited for the honeymoon she always dreamed of, Digicel customer, Simeca Alexander-Williamson, will be celebrating her second wedding anniversary in style after being selected a winner in the recently concluded Digicel Postpaid Luxury Staycation promotion.

"When we got married, we never had a honeymoon, so this means a lot," she said. "I'm very, very excited. My husband and I needed a vacation from the kids. In April, we will be married for two years, so we're excited to celebrate with this luxury staycation."

A Digicel postpaid customer since 2017, mother of two, and operator of Cradle of Life, a Kingston-based lactation consultancy firm, Alexander-Williamson also welcomes the break from the daily demands of her business.

"My business involves helping mothers to breastfeed. It's a struggle, and when I can, I carry my baby with me. Plus, I must make time for my family. So, yes, it does get a bit hectic," she reflected. Alexander-Williamson met her husband, Timroy, a manager in the pharmaceutical industry, in 2015. She describes him as her "biggest cheerleader" as she continues to single-handedly build her business.

"I couldn't do it without him. He is the backbone; he allows me to explore and gives me the time to do what I need to do in my career. He is there for the kids when I can't be," Alexander-Williamson said. For her, being a loyal Digicel customer has paid off.

"When I realised I won, I was so excited. It feels good to be rewarded as a customer. I was a Digicel prepaid customer when the company started in Jamaica, and then I switched to postpaid sometime after," she said.

Head of Digital Marketing for Digicel, Ewort Atkinson, emphasised the importance of celebrating the digital operator's loyal customers.

"We are always looking out for ways to reward our valued customers, and our Luxury Staycation Promotion was just another way to show them how much we appreciate their support," he said.
