Derrick seeks a home - ‘Facety’ TikToker tired of his nomadic lifestyle

TikToker Derrick Morgan, dubbed the homeless celebrity by his fans, is seeking assistance.

He said that he is tired of moving from motel to motel and sleeping in the parks, so he is seeking help to find a house or a room to rent.

"Mi woulda like wah live a Portmore or uptown like Vineyard Town and dem quiet area deh whe nobody nah trouble mi," said Morgan, who has been living a nomadic for more than two decades. "Mi willing to pay mi rent. Mi can pay rent up to $40,000 in a decent area."

Morgan is seen as 'facety' and unfiltered because of his constant use of expletives. However, the TikToker is contending that his so-called behaviour is due to provocation, which includes being chased by public passenger vehicle operators who he encounters on the streets.

"Nuh loudness or nuh vulgarness nago deh deh," Morgan promised potential landlords. "Mi nuh get up and trouble people suh, if dem nuh trouble mi. But every day pon di street, people draw mi out and get mi ignorant. Uno must see di videos of the taxi and bike man dem who always a run mi down and put video pon mi when mi a go bout mi business."

"Mi have a whole heap a online enemies too but dem bad mind mi... and mi nah look pon dem enuh," added Morgan

Morgan has racked up thousands of followers on TikTok. His fanbase includes hip hop star Nicki Minaj, who not only joined him on one of his live sessions, but also sent him gift cards, which he redeemed for cash. Dancehall artiste Jada Kingdom also compensated him for using one of his slangs in a song.

"When Jada Kingdom and di next lady [Stefflon Don] did a war, she use mi slang and she give me $200,000. Mi get some of it but mi have a friend a New York who keep back the rest fi just in case mi get any room. Mi nuh waste no money, a mi business some people wah know and dem nago know mi business," he said. "Nicki Minaj send a gift weh can change out and when mi change it out, mi buy a bed and TV cash and mi store dem at the store weh mi buy dem. The bed all have a pretty head," said Morgan.Today, Morgan is spending most of his time promoting his T-shirt and hat business, which bears several of his popular slangs. He said his small business is well supported.

He also lashed out against some of his critics, who he said are telling him to seek a regular 9-5 job or try to get to America illegally, via the dangerous Mexico border.

"Mi a big man, mi can't go through di border right ya now. Mi can't run and yuh have to swim tru water and go through some desert and mi can't swim," said Morgan, who claims that on a good day he can make $30,000 from his business. "Mi can't bother with that. Mi wah look about my papers and go embassy and do it the right way."

Pointing towards his chest, Morgan said he has grown tired of being contentious, as the constant shouting and cursing is beginning to affect his health.

"People a farrin love di drama and di bagga bagga ... a dat dem good fah a farrin country ... to sit down and watch yuh when yuh a carry on and dem nuh mind if yuh drop down and dead. Mi cuss so till inna mi stomach pain mi and mi a stop it. Mi can't drop down and dead right ya now," said Morgan.
