Handyman charged over seizure of homemade gun
The police have charged a 29-year-old handyman over the seizure of a loaded homemade gun.
He is Shane Boothe of a St Andrew address, who is charged with possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
His court date is being finalised.
Reports from the Constant Spring police are that about 7:13 a.m. on Saturday, a team of lawmen were on patrol in the area when they saw Booth standing among a group of men with a bulge in his waist.
He was approached and following a search of his person a homemade firearm and one 9mm round of ammunition were seized.
Booth was taken into custody.
