Two 8-y-o boys perish in Westmoreland house fire

An investigation has been launched into the death of two children who lost their lives in a fire at their home in Westmoreland.

The deceased children are New Hope Primary School students, eight-year-old Jamar Reid and eight-year-old Romain Powell.

Police reports state that the children's burnt remains were discovered about 12:10 a.m. last night.

A fire of unknown origin destroyed their three-bedroom home.

The Savanna-La-Mar Police is also probing the matter.
