Higgler charged over Clarendon bar robbery
Detectives attached to the Clarendon Police Division have charged a 23-year-old higgler over the robbery of a bar in May Pen area last week.
Everton Brown of Line district, May Pen, Clarendon is charged with housebreaking and larceny.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that at 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday February 4, a woman locked her bar and departed for home.
Upon her return the following day about 8:00 a.m., she discovered that the back door had been forced open.
She inspected the premises and discovered that a Poker gaming box, a monitor box, liquor and items from a refrigerator were missing.
A report was made to the police and an investigation was carried out.
On Monday, February 10, Brown was apprehended in his community.
He was then charged the following day after a question-and-answer session was conducted.
He is scheduled to appear before the Clarendon Circuit Court on Thursday, February 20.
