WITH speculation rife that Camperdown coach, Christopher Bender, could be relieved of his duties in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/FLOW Manning Cup schoolboy football competition following a poor season so far, assistant-Stanford Patrick is defending their track record and admits "no fear" of rumours.

"As a coach, them hire and fire, we are here, me and (Christopher) Bender try to do our best. Sometimes it doesn't go the right and proper way. You have spectators saying this and saying that, past students saying this and past students saying that, but whatever, you will see in 2016," Patrick told STAR Sports, following last Saturday's 2-0 loss to KC.

When quizzed if there were fears over his job, he said: "No fear for the job at all."

The three-time Manning Cup champions have struggled to second in Group G behind second round and FLOW Super Cup qualifiers Kingston College which beat them twice this season. (2-1 and 2-0)

Camperdown are trailing KC by 10 points, and were put to the sword by the many-time North Street champions.

While they still have a chance to qualify, as they are on 12 points, two ahead of JosE Marti- both have played seven games.

"We have a mathematical chance of going through anyway, based on the last match that we have. We will just go back to training, sit down the players, and see how best we can keep focus and get it the right and proper way," the assistant, who spoke to the media for coach Bender, explained.

Camperdown's season has been a less convincing one than last year where they reached the semi-finals.

They were beaten 4-2 by eventual champions Jamaica College in the Super Cup.
