They left it late but pre-season ISSA/FLOW Manning favourites, St George's College, are in the 2015 Super Cup.

St George's won Group C honours and took the sole Super Cup spot, courtesy of a comfortable 4-0 win over Eltham High School in Spanish Town yesterday.

Prior to the game, Innswood High led the group on 22 points, while St George's and Denham Town High were locked on 19.

Innswood slipped at the final hurdle, beaten 1-0 by Denham Town at Chedwin Park, and three teams ended on 22 points. St George's, the team with the best goal difference in the group, topped Denham Town and Innswood. St George's and Denham were automatic qualifiers for the Manning Cup second while Innswood also advanced as one of two best third place teams.

two assists

Gregory Messam Jr led the way for St George's yesterday with a first half brace and two assists. He struck in the seventh minute then converted a 13th minute penalty.

He then turned provider, setting up Alex Marshall's close range strike in the 22nd minute and Shevon Stewart bullet finish in the 24th minute.

"When we started the competition we said we wanted to put ourselves in a position to challenge for four titles. We are very happy that we are where we are now," St George's coach Neville Bell told STAR Sports.
