GC Foster unbeaten in Intercol netball

Defending champions G.C. Foster College are one of three unbeaten teams following the latest set of matches in senior action of the Intercollegiate netball competition.

The Spanish Town-based team are early leaders on six points with two wins from two starts. In their first game away, they turned back a fighting University of Technology (UTech) team 32-29.

In their second game, also away, they had a strong third quarter to repel the challenge of Mico B 32-25.

Staying close are former champions, ' UWI A with two wins. After carving out a close 27-21 win over Mico B the Conrad Parkes-coached team had an easy 50-16 win over Exed Community College in their latest match.

Open Rally champion, Mico A are also unbeaten. The Vangelee Williams-led Mico team was too strong for UWI B in their only match so far as they easily turned back their opponents 54-16.

After going down to UWI A in their first game of the season, UTech has gone on to score two wins. In their second game, they defeated G.C. Foster B 44-25 before stopping Mico B 32-20 at home.

Competition will get into high gear this week as defending champions G.C. Foster A will be at home on Saturday to UWI A, and on the same day Mico A, will host UTech.
