The finalists in this year's Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) schoolgirl junior and senior netball competitions will be decided at the Leila Robinson Courts today.

Defending champions The Queen's School will battle Norman Manley, and Camperdown will go up against favourites Gaynstead High in the juniors.

In senior action, at 2:30 p.m., defending champions Queen's will battle St Hugh's, while the unbeaten Camperdown take on St Catherine High.

All four coaches are oozing with confidence.

Queen's coach Marvette Anderson thinks her team is much stronger than last year's.

"We are expecting a good game. We are not taking St Hugh's lightly as it is no accident to be in a semi-final. They must have done something good, but this Queen's team has been together from a long time, and we expect another victory," she said.

Despite his team losing to Camperdown two weeks ago in a second-round encounter, coach Roy Price is not fazed by meeting the defending champions.

"We are going to approach this game just like we have done in other games. We have a rounded team, and we will have a battle in the midcourt," said Price.

After being eliminated in the quarter- finals by St Catherine High a year ago, coach of Camperdown High, Wayne Stewart, is confident that he will get the better of his opponents this time and move one step further in capturing their first senior title.

"We are stronger this year, and it will be who needs it more on the day. We are not coming to lose, and we are extremely confident," he said.

St Catherine coach Phyllis Thompson said her team is young, but she believes they can overcome Camperdown.

"I expect a very tough game, but the girls will just have to go out there and give of their best, " he said.
