Four titles for Mico's netballers

MICO University College's netball teams completed a sweep of intercollegiate titles on Monday when their intermediate team beat UWI 'B' at the Leila Robinson Courts.

In the rescheduled final, the Mico intermediate team scored a narrow 29-28 victory over UWI 'B' to seal their fourth title of the season. After winning the Open Rally title at the start of the season the Annett Daley-coached senior and junior teams triumphed on Saturday at G.C. Foster College. The seniors beat UWI 'A' 52-50 while the junior got past G.C. Foster 'C' 33-14.

Coach Daley praised her players.

"The season on a whole was good, the ladies really came out , they trained hard , they played hard and they had good opposition and they still came out victorious and I must say congratulation not only to the ladies, but the coaching staff, which included Janet Guy, Leroy Brown, the student managers and the sports director," Daley is also assistant national senior coach.
