Williams has since transferred to Waterhouse.

Stephen 'One Left' Williams says that the change being witnessed in his on-field performances is just a reflection of him getting things right in his entire life, influenced by personal changes.

"It is true that I feel like a different person because I have a new motivation," Williams said. "My motivation is my two daughters. I am a father now so things have to be different, how I live and all of that. They just inspire me.

"My daughters Arriana and Shanoya are one and two years old and I just have to get it right. I have to provide for them," explained the man who began his career as a footballer at Eltham High school.

The 28-year-old, who played top- flight football at Portmore United before transferring to Waterhouse, also made comparisons between his approaches at the two clubs.

"When I played for Portmore United, people would probably say I was a much better player then, but I was younger and almost became lackadaisical and almost took things for granted. You know you will not have the same fitness (naturally), as when you are a teenager, so it requires more work.

"Now that I am older, I have to work harder and think more, be more deliberate," Williams admitted.

The transformation, while gradual, has not been one straight line as last year he had an unintended break.

"Last year, I did not have a great season because I had a knee injury. I had a meniscus tear to my right knee.

"It is healed as you can see from how I am running now, but injuries really hurt me last season and I had about three goals. I am coming back to myself and have two goals so far, both on Monday nights," Williams said, hinting that he relishes the big moments which will be important heading into the business end of the season.
