Vere United coach Michael Bennett expressed his disappointment in the organisation and running of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) All-Isl and Confederation Premier League playoff.

This was after his side drew 0-0 with Wadadah FC at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay (MoBay) on Wednesday evening.

Bennett, who believes there was a deliberate attempt to give the western team an advantage, said the poor lighting and poor officiating cost him all three points.

"Very disappointed because I think we should have taken all three. I am also very disappointed with the JFF for putting us under lights in MoBay, and I think the lights are not good enough for top-class football," an angered Bennett said.

"Another thing they shouldn't have put a MoBay referee in for the game. I am very disappointed with the three officials because I thought they made poor decisions, especially in the box where our players were taken down. You can't have MoBay refs in a game that a MoBay club is involved in. If they come to Clarendon, we couldn't have our referees against a MoBay team. That is out of order. Two times in the box our player was brought down and not even a caution to any of their players," he added.

"I am very disappointed at the JFF and the way they run the competition, putting us under the lights when all other matches are playing at 3:30 p.m.. Obviously, there is a plan for the western team."

Bennett said that despite the result, which he described as a blip, he is confident that they will be in the Red Stripe Premier League next season as they are looking to go all out in their remaining fixtures and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions.

"Let me tell you this! We will be in the Premier League, I am confident. I know this is just a blip. We should have won this game, but I'm telling you, the results will show going forward. We are going to St Ann (tomorrow), and you'll see what will happen," said a frustrated Bennett.

"We are 17 games unbeaten in all competitions now after we lost the first game of the season to Tru Juice. It's a good record to have, with 14 clean sheets out of that, so it's a lot of work we're putting in."
