Frome Technical High School head coach Renorio Downswell said their 5-0 quarter-final win over Petersfield High School in the ISSA/WATA daCosta Cup at Frome Sports Complex yesterday gives him the confidence his team can go all the way.

Davin Johnson (sixth and 24th), Giovanni Mitto (40th and 67th) and captain Clifton Suban were the goalscorers for Frome.

"I think the guys came out and played well," Downswell said. "This is the quarter-finals, so they were wired up for this game, which showed us that they want to go all the way this season."

After today's commanding performance, Downswell said he is more confident they will make it to the last four and can even go all the way.

"Yes, this is the business end of the competition," he said. "We explained that to the guys and let them know they don't have any time to slip up. If we have our sights set on winning the DaCosta Cup, it starts from here. Today they put on a good show and I have to commend them for that.

"We have an away game against Port Antonio, which can be tricky because they are on zero points and will be coming out gunning for us. We will just have to play to the best of our ability and we will get past that. Once we do that, we have a home game against Dinthill which will be another tough one to decide where we go in the competition. However, I think these guys can go all the way based on our performance today."
