Bailey full of praise for Boyz coaches

With the Reggae Boyz's failed FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign now over, winger Leon Bailey said he is now looking forward to a much better showing at the Concacaf Nations League football tournament in June.

The Reggae Boyz ended their qualifying campaign on Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Honduras at the National Stadium.

They ended the eight-team tournament in sixth place on 11 points.

Bailey played in two of the Reggae Boyz's last three matches in the tournament.

He said that he is happy with the direction the team is headed in.

"I am looking forward to it (Nations League) because I feel like the group is a good group," Bailey said. "It is a young team and they are willing to learn and it is a nice group to go forward with. I am excited about the prospects for the future.

"I see positivity in the team, I see people that are willing to work hard and that's what it should be about."

Bailey also credits interim head coach Paul Hall and his coaching staff for rebuilding team confidence.

"He has been doing a great job and we are pleased with what he has been giving," Bailey said.

"I think the coaching staff is also doing a great job, I can't complain because they are pushing the players and they are also letting the players feel comfortable and confident in being able to go out there and giving them the opportunities.

"For me, I take this game (Honduras) as a building block and I see something positive for this team and I am just excited to move forward and, hopefully, we can just stick together."
