Two seasons ago, Andre Fletcher left Waterhouse to join Mount Pleasant, but was hardly featured in his time there and grew disillusioned, before returning to his hometown club Waterhouse midway through the last campaign.

The winger took some time to rediscover his top form, and this season he slowly returned to his best, and his 11 goals have been massive in Waterhouse's run to the play-offs.

Fletcher has been nursing an injury for the last few weeks, but he has now returned to training and is hoping to be back to full fitness before Monday's first leg of the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) quarter-final against Tivoli Gardens.

"I picked up an injury in the Dunbeholden game. I am going through the recovery process now, and I am back in training. Not 100 per cent (certain about being ready for Monday), but I am getting there day by day in training," Fletcher revealed.

He admitted that his improved form has been a boost for his confidence, as well as getting his first call-up to the national team recently.

"It (season) has been pretty good. I got called to the national programme, so that must mean I am doing something right. That was also a good experience, so I must keep my head high and continue working.

"It boosted my confidence, and it was a great experience, which I shared with the team," he continued.

Waterhouse have not been as convincing as in previous seasons and only squeezed into the play-offs on the last day of the preliminary round. However, Fletcher believes they are a dark horse, as they can upset any team on their day.

"We have a big chance. I think we have a great unit. Still, there is a lot to work on. Day by day in training we are working to gel together more, so we must prepare and execute on match day," Fletcher said.

He also hopes to be back to full fitness so he can help Waterhouse in their push to become JPL champions.

"I have scored 11 goals, and the team is looking towards me to come back and score more goals. I am still recovering, so I am taking it step by step, but I will try my best to get back to form and help the team.

"I don't want to speak too much about it. I just want to get back out there and execute, so the fans can see I am back," he asserted.
