Why would my teen daughter pierce down there?

Dear Pastor,

II am writing this letter with tears in my eyes. I have a 17-year-old daughter, and I love her deeply from the bottom of my heart. Her father and I do not get along, and for a long time, he has turned her against me. Whenever we have a disagreement, she tells him, and he seems to think I am a miserable person. I know that I am not.

This girl wants to wear jewellery all over her face, so she has jewellery in her nose and about two on each ear. But I also found out, and pastor, don't ask me how I found that out, but this girl pierced her vagina. I asked her why she had to pierce down there, and she said she likes it, and her boyfriend wanted her to do so.

I asked her if she has been having sex with this so-called boyfriend and she said yes. I was very surprised. I told her that she is crazy. However, she said that this is now the 'in thing', and that I belong to the old school.

I cannot understand why a girl would want to pierce her vagina. Don't you think that something is wrong with my daughter?

Your daughter is really into freaky stuff. My understanding is that it increases sexual stimulation. Do not allow what your daughter is doing to herself to cause you to go crazy. Any young woman who pierces her private parts has gone nuts. Remain calm my darling, remain calm.
