Two dead after gunmen shoot up bus

The Lucea police in Hanover are investigating the circumstances where a gunmen shot up a public passenger bus last night leaving the bus driver and a teen dead.

Our news team understands that several other passengers were injured and were hospitalised.

The deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Shanoya Murray of an Askenish address and 37-year-old Tose 'Ray Ray' McKenzie, of a Johnson Town address in Lucea.

The bizarre incident occurred in the community of Dundee Pen shortly after 7 p.m.

THE STAR understands that the bus was travelling with a number of passengers along the Lucea to Askenish road when it came under attack by heavily armed men.

The injured passengers were rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea.

Hanover, which was previously referred to as a peaceful parish, has seen a 100 per cent increase in murders in 2017.
