Woman arrested for lottery scamming

Members of the Lottery Scam Task Force charged a 25-year-old Montego Bay woman on Wednesday.

She is Janice Brown of Leader Avenue, Montego Bay, St James.

She has been charged with possession of identity information and possession of an access device.

Reports are that between the hours of 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m., during a special operation, Brown’s premises was searched.

The search yielded one laptop and three notebooks which contained identity information of persons living overseas.

Brown was subsequently arrested and charged.

A court date will be announced at a later date.
