Sex is a great remedy for stress

January 28, 2020

The new year is off to a very rocky start and so many of us are just stressed out. From the many reports of fatalities on the road to crime and just trying to survive everyday life, many Jamaicans find themselves struggling to keep their stress levels under control. Another factor adding to the stress levels is a lack of satisfactory sexual experiences.

Yes, I said SEX! Believe it or not, sex is one of our most important remedies for stress-related symptoms in the human body.

Sex is Exercise

Yes, if you’re doing it right, during sex your hearts is pumping, almost all the muscles in the body are engaged and based on the passion and the length of time, the amount of energy that is used is enough to run a good marathon. Another great bonus is that sex is excellent for the heart and helps to reduce instances of cardiovascular diseases like stroke and heart attacks.

Sex improves your mood and makes you more pleasant to be around. Have you ever encountered a very unpleasant person and walk away thinking, “that person needs some sex”? You’re probably right! After an orgasm, between the exhilaration of the physical activity and the feel-good hormones released, the body is relaxed and the overall mood is improved exponentially. Sex is a great way to kick off a great day.

Sex helps with stress relief

Sex can help relieve stress by raising endorphins that directly counteracts symptoms caused by stress, including headaches. Sex also prevents the blood pressure from rising during stressful situations.

Sex improves your sleep

One of the best ways to get a good night’s rest is to get your freak on before bed. After a pulsating orgasm, sleep is inevitable and restful. Rest is an important antidote for stress.

There are multiple benefits that the body can gain from frequent, satisfactory sex, and it’s definitely something that we need to tap into as human beings. Just remember that sex is great when you share a connection with your partner and you are open to pleasing each other. Talk about your desires – don’t just limit your experience to the genitals – and keep an open mind. As with most things in life, sex evolves and there is still so much to learn, so get your freak on and enjoy every minute of it.
