Dancehall artiste Darrio has confirmed that he has parted ways with the Konshens-led Subkonshus record label.

According to Darrio, his contract officially ended in November of 2014, but he stayed on due to situation surrounding the camp at that time.

"I'm no longer a part of Subkonshus. My contract ended last year, but during that time, Konshens was being attacked by Masicka and Demarco, so me never really want to leave during that time," he told THE STAR.

Currently signed to a new label, Darrio told THE STAR that while he and Konshens did not always see eye to eye, the split was amicable.

"I officially parted ways with them about three to four weeks now. Working with Konshens was a good vibe for the most part, he is all about business. We didn't always agree on all things," he said.

Earlier this year, Konshens' band also parted ways with him because they did not feel they were being given the respect they deserved.

Fresh off some recent performances in Africa, Darrio is currently promoting his latest single, Explode.

"I have a new team, new contract, and a new song, Explode, produced by Sensi of Head Concussion Records. The video for the single will be dropping soon," Darrio stated.
