New Jersey-based recording artiste Msz Quanny is promoting her latest single called 'Badness'.

She said that the track, which was released in January, was done as a confidence booster for females.

"I wanted a fun song [that would make] females feel sexy and confident when they hear it in a dance. It's empowering, and I do hope that it will be fresh in the minds of listeners years from now," she said. Msz Quanny, whose given name is Quandasha Huggins, was born in New Jersey and raised in Philadelphia to Kittitian and Jamaican parents.

The singer told THE STAR that she aims to continually create music that stays true to her culture and roots. She joined her school choir at age five, and had her first solo performance a year later.

"The feeling of being on that stage was the start that lead to many successes. My earlier music was influenced by Toni Braxton, Michael and Janet Jackson, Aaliyah, and TLC," she said.

"I really do not limit myself to one genre, but I have a special liking for reggae/dancehall, so I really have high hopes that my single Badness will resonate well with the fans in Jamaica, because their input means a lot to my career," she said.

Msz Quanny is also promoting another track called Bruk it off.
