A treat at Triple Century
Triple Century in New Kingston is the place to be on a Thursday if you wish to wine, dine and have some fun. The Triple Thursdays party series have being offering that club-rocking experience to dancehall fans all summer, and last Thursday patrons flocked to the venue to party like rock stars also.
After dining, the tables and chairs are removed, and the area is transformed into a dance floor, where battle lines are sometimes drawn to see who is the "baddest" dancer in the house.
Gizelle, who is a regular at the club, says she loves the vibes. "The atmosphere is conducive to fun and it's safe and secure for patrons," she told The Star when we visited the location.
Disc jocks, like Badda Bling, and others spun tunes from their consoles, keeping patrons rocking. And just when you thought the party was winding down, the women got into a frenzy, as they 'bruck out' to 'girl tunes'. The men joined them on the dance floor and took the party up a notch.
When the music finally stopped, some patrons were reluctant to leave asking the selectors to continue playing. But, alas, it was time to pull the plug until next week.
