Rygin King rocks Stony Hill
There were hardly any complaints at the annual Instahype party in Stony Hill on Saturday as Montego Bay's hottest star, Rygin King performed to a sold-out crowd.
The artiste, who dubs himself 'One King', delivered a satisfying performance as he churned out hit after hit to eager patrons. For an entry fee of $500, patrons got their money's worth as the artiste worked the stage for more than 30 minutes. He performed songs such as Things Go Change, How Me Grow, Learn, Feel Like This, and of course, Tuff.
One King gave the crowd something extra when he brought on up-and-coming artiste Jamal Pree. The young entertainer held his own and managed to gain a few forward from the crowd for his efforts. There wasn't a disappointed face in the crowd when Rygin King left the stage.
The night saw hundreds of patrons filling the venue at Shoppys Car Wash. Up-and-coming artiste and son of the soil, Tactikal, was the night's host while the juggling duties were left up to K9 Sound, ZJ West, DJ Baba & Phenzik and Supa Blaxx.
Dre Hype, promoter of the annual bash, told The STAR that there was a record turnout at Instahype this year. He expressed gratitude to patrons for coming out and supporting the event as he talked about the immense growth Instahype has experienced over the years.
Dre Hype says the event has lifted the entire community in Stony Hill and expressed an interest in partnering with corporate Jamaica to further expand the event.
