‘Rude Boy Loving’ is the title of singer Abby Dallas’ latest single, which is to be released today, August 2.

The song was written by Dallas and Kismet ‘KIZ-MET’ Cooper and produced by Llamar ‘Riff Raff’ Brown.

Dallas shared the inspiration behind the song as well as the feedback it has so far received.

“The song is about love and female empowerment. The female in the song is not afraid to say what she wants and how she wants to be treated by her lover,” said Dallas. “The feedback has been great because the song is relatable to the younger people and to older people. After all, love is a universal language. The song has been getting a lot of airplay, both locally and overseas”.

Dallas, who is originally from Portmore, gained some valuable experience when, during her teenage years, she entered several Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) events. With several medals to her credit, she decided to enter the JCDC Festival Song competition in 2012. She won with her entry, Real Born Jamaican.

Said Dallas “Winning the JCDC Festival song competition and creating history by becoming the third woman and youngest to have ever won the competition, has been the highlight of my career. The competition really helped to push my career to the next level by giving me the opportunity to be seen by more people”.

She added “My musical journey has been one that started from childhood where I started singing in church. I won various prizes, including a scholarship to study music at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts, where I majored in voice. I also toured the world with artistes such as Diana King, Queen Ifrica and Tanya Stephens.”

Dallas is known for songs such as My Heart, Gold Digger, and Extraordinary.
