After losing his mother to gun violence, recording artiste Kahpreno decided to use music as a coping mechanism which he describes as rewarding thus far.

Earlier this year, he released his first single, Cheat, which set the pace for him to team up with DJ Frankco/Ovation Lab once more on his single Believe.

That single, released July 12, has garnered thousands of streams across social media platforms.

"There are a lot of youths that can tell the same story I am telling, the people we expect to believe in us don't. This song is a reminder to ghetto youths that they can achieve anything as long as they put their fingers to the wheel and work hard," said Kahpreno. "When I lost my mother, I knew I had to be the breadwinner in the family. My younger siblings look up to me and as a result, I can't afford to let them down. I know my breakthrough is right around the corner."

Based on the reaction of the fans, Kahpreno has plans of shooting a music video for the track in December.

Kahpreno gives credit to DJ Frankco who has been acting as his musical mentor for the past two years.

"DJ Frankco and Posh Morris saw my potential and decided to help me on this journey and I am thankful. The reception I have been receiving has been amazing and I am determined to always produce music that speaks to the younger generation especially," he said.

Kahpreno is planning to release his first EP for the new year.
