At a recent Pastor's Appreciation service at Ryan Mark's Pure in Heart Ministries church, UK prophet Isaiah Raymond told the singjay-turned-pastor that "There's a place for you in government in this nation".

But Ryan Mark, who has evolved from doing just music to being in the pulpit and doing videos on YouTube, says he is not big on politics.

"However, I'm big on the kingdom of God and I'm big on my country," he told THE WEEKEND STAR. "As a prophet, I believe God has called me to be a prophet to the nation. So I guess, probably in the future, if the Lord allows me to be some sort of advisor to the Government, then I think that's something I'm definitely open for ... because that's how it was in the biblical days ... ."

He continued, "I'm not for any side, I'm for the kingdom of God and I'm for anybody who is in power. If there's a message that the Spirit of God will relate to me to relate to them and they are willing and open to hear and accept, then fine. If there's any other plans the Spirit of God has, I don't know. I guess time will tell."

Ryan Mark has primarily dedicated the last seven years to pastoring but released the King Project EP on his birthday, March 20, after a wave of musical inspiration. The six-track set was produced by Heavenly Waves Productions and Chosen Records, and serves as a vibrant, confident offering with tracks like Step With Authority, Fire Works and Clean Clean featuring long-time friend DJ Nicholas. The features are balanced out with promising newcomer Prince Saj on the single Christ in Me. Ryan Mark said the project was already complete when he first encountered Prince Saj through the Magnum Top Performa contest.

"I just wanted to do that collaboration because he's gifted and I've been around for years and I know that it will do something also for him as an artiste. So I just wanted to give him my support," he said. He also showcases his versatility as a singer on My King and pays homage to his mother, who passed away in 2020, with the track My Mama.

"That track has been in the studio for about 10 years now and it's just weird that I never released that song. But when Mommy passed, it just felt like, okay, I need to put this out," he said. "On the flipside, you'd think, 'wow, I should have probably put this out for her to hear it' but nothing [happen] before the time ... . I think this will also be a blessing to people who have lost their mothers, so it still has its place."
