Chris Gayle’s 94-year-old dad steals spotlight at star-studded birthday bash

Cricket icon Chris Gayle threw an unforgettable birthday bash over the weekend, but the star of the night wasn't just him--it was his 94-year-old father, Dudley Gayle, who stole the show at the 40 Shades of Gayle 5.0 extravaganza.

Held on Saturday at the Pearly Beach Villas in Ocho Rios, St Ann, the star-studded celebration was packed with famous faces, high fashion, and a lively crowd paying tribute to the cricket legend.

While Chris dazzled in a retro, soca-inspired ensemble, exuding his usual charismatic energy, mingling with guests, and keeping the party vibes alive, Dudley was a more laid-back figure, quietly taking it all in. Despite his age, the elder Gayle made it clear he wasn't missing his son's epic birthday party for the world.

"I am glad to be here and to see him happy and celebrating," Dudley shared, reminiscing about his roots in Manchester as he settled into his cabana.

The night took an emotional turn when the DJ announced the father-son duo, introducing Chris as the Universe Boss, much to the delight of the roaring crowd. Cameras flashed as photographers scrambled to capture the rare moment between Chris and his proud father. Asked about his dad's presence at the celebration, Chris grinned and simply said, "Great!"
