Chi Ching's 'Hanging Mondays' full of energy
Hanging Mondays, a weekly party series hosted by STAR of the Month, Chi Ching Ching, in Golden Spring, St Andrew, went up a notch last Monday with a surprise visit by dancehall giant Beenie Man.
THE WEEKEND STAR was on hand as the self-proclaimed King of the Dancehall put on a show for those in attendance. He belted hits from his huge catalogue even as rain threatened to put a damper on the night's proceeding.
The event got under way minutes after 10 p.m., with DJ Banky providing early juggling. Within an hour, Hanging Mondays was in full swing as patrons strolled in and picked their spot. DJs Shawn and Fubba were at the controls and provided the patrons with hits of today.
Songs like Popcaan's God Alone, Jahmeil's Gain The World, Kranium's Lifestyle, and Nesbeth's My Dream dominated the hour leading to midnight. Other selections like Popcaan's and Chi Ching Ching's Nah Go Home and Tactical's Gal a Run Mi Down resonated well with the lively gathering.
In the final hour, 12 to 1 a.m., the DJs made sure the ladies went home pleased by getting them involved in the mixture of things with some dancing.
Patrons were then treated to live performances. Beenie Man opened the stage and later invited Bling Dawg, New Kidz, Mr Lexx, Chi Ching Ching, and Trigger Finger from Japan to join him.
