Seven held during three-day operation
October 31, 2015
Operations carried out by detectives from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) over a three-day period have led to the arrest of seven persons allegedly involved in the illicit lotto scam.
They are reportedly from the Western end of the island, as the operations were concentrated in Trelawny, Hanover and St Elizabeth.
THE STAR gathered that several items used in lottery scamming were allegedly seized during searches of premises and the persons reportedly detained.
Those in custody are to be interviewed in the presence of their attorneys next week.
MOCA says its investigation is ongoing.
