TWO TEENS DROWN IN APARTMENT POOL

February 02, 2016

There is mystery surrounding the drowning of two boys at an apartment complex in Stony Hill, St Andrew, last night. The two males, who are reportedly both 17 years old, are believed to have been using the pool at the complex when they encountered difficulties and drowned. It is said that neighbours heard screams for help at approximately 7 p.m.

When THE STAR arrived on the scene at 9:42 p.m. last night, the police had also just arrived. Our news team was told that the bodies of the boys had been fished from the bottom of the pool by a tenant of the complex some time before 8 p.m. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was tried on the males, but that was unsuccessful.

An ambulance that arrived on the scene a little after 8 p.m. remained unused as the bodies of the boys were still on the property. One of the deceased is believed to be a brother of a resident of the complex.

THE STAR was unable to ascertain the identity of the males up to press time.
