Man missing since Sam Sharp Square meeting

Just over two weeks ago, 42-year-old Neville 'Nena' Salmon joined a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) motorcade from Chapelton in Clarendon to the JLP Sam Sharpe Square mass meeting and has not been seen or heard from since.

According to reports from distraught family members, Salmon,, who suffers from a mental illness, was in the company of persons from Chapelton, however, following the shooting and the subsequent chaos which ensued, he was left behind in the melee.

"Them carry away mi brother go Montego Bay, and when [the shooting] start, them just run left him down there and up to now we can't hear what happen to him," Rose Salmon, the missing man's sister, said.

"From him disappear, a just fret we a fret because his head isn't so good and anything can happen to him ... maybe them even kill him too," she added.

She said since the disappearance of her brother, the family has led social media campaigns and search parties to St James to find him, but to no avail.

The member of parliament for the area, Pearnell Charles, has joined the appeal for the safe return of his constituent, and says if anyone should see Salmon, who is of a light complexion, about five feet five inches tall and estimated to be about 120 pounds, to call his personal number at 869-8232 or the nearest police station.
