The deceased persons have been identified as 29-year-old Glaeisel Rutherford, otherwise called 'DJ Gavel'; Tyrone Hinds, otherwise called 'Jaw Bone', a 21-year-old shopkeeper; and 22-year-old Michael Holder, otherwise called 'Two Chain'. Reports from the Montego Bay police are that about 12:40 p.m., the three were at a cookshop in the community when armed men alighted from a motor car and opened fire, hitting all three. They died while being treated at hospital.

THE STAR understands that the brazen daylight attack was as a result of a cellular phone being damaged by water. It is alleged that the owner of the device left the premises thereafter.

Sometime later, the grizzly attack took place claiming the lives of the three men.

Investigations continue.
