Bounty robbed of $500,000
Dancehall icon Bounty Killer was the victim of an armed robbery last Friday night, The Star understands.
According to reports, Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Price, was said to have been pounced upon by men who relieved him of $500,000 in cash, jewellery, and other valuables.
Efforts to speak with the artiste proved futile yesterday, but when THE STAR contacted his management team, the incident was confirmed, but very little details were given surrounding the matter.
The robbery is said to have taken place at approximately 9 p.m., along a thoroughfare off Waltham Park Road in St Andrew.
When THE STAR contacted the police, the authorities were yet to receive any formal report on the matter.
Meanwhile, the show must go on as Bounty is expected to host his annual 'It's Tha Party' event slated to take place this Friday at Sabina Park.
The 'War Lord' has recently partnered with Hennessy which will be sponsoring the birthday bash.
