Man accused of beating ex-girlfriend to death remanded
Phillip Brown, who is charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend Kerry-Ann Wilson, was further remanded when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
The 35-year-old construction worker of Old Hope Road, St Andrew, is now being represented by a new attorney, Anthony Williams, who has asked the court for a copy of the case files against his client, with the intention of making a bail application on February 3.
Wrapped in tarpaulin
The court had indicated that such disclosures would be ready today.
Reports are that Wilson's body was found wrapped in tarpaulin on a bridge on Saturday, December 10, near the Crystal Towers Apartments home they shared.
It appeared that she had been beaten to death.
Brown was arrested the following morning after he surrendered to the Half-Way Tree police in the company of his relatives.
