Police High Command condemns brutal killing of policeman

The Police High Command condemns the murder of Constable Toddmar Allen, who was assigned to the Mobile Reserve.

Allen was among patrons at a bar in Rollington Town, Kingston 2 about 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, when two men armed with guns approached and opened fire at him. The Police were summoned and Allen was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The High Command extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Allen.

In a release, the High Command said that Allen was an outstanding officer who served the Jamaica Constabulary Force JCF) for more than 12 years.

“No effort will be spared in bringing Constable Allen’s killer/s to justice. All resources will be given in this investigation,” the release said.

The High Command is also encouraging all members of the JCF to remain vigilant in their personal safety.

“The Police will continue working hard to prevent senseless acts of violence like these, and we seek the further support of all law abiding citizens to reverse the culture of violence in our island,”the High Command said.

The High Command is also assuring the public that “the Police will not be deterred in our efforts to enforce law and order, and build safer communities.”
