Five males who were taken into custody in connection with the murder of 11-year-old Trisha Morris in Woodland district, Hanover, on April 30, have all been released from custody.

THE WEEKEND STAR was informed that the men were all released from custody on Wednesday afternoon.

"There is not enough evidence to place any of the accused at the crime scene, so they had to be let loose," one senior officer said. "This does not mean that the investigation is over. But the police will now have to look along other avenues and gather fresh evidence in order to press on with their investigation. "

Morris, who attended the Watford Hill Primary School, went missing on Saturday, April 27, at approximately 8 p.m.

During the early hours of April 30, a resident stumbled upon Morris' body, which was dumped in a cluster of bushes at a section of the community known as Pond.
