Ricketts praises Shaw

President of the Jamaica Football Federation Michael Ricketts is praising Reggae Girlz captain Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw, after she won the Barclays Women's Super League (WSL) Player of the Season award on Friday.

A release today stated that the JFF is extremely excited that Shaw keeps rolling in the accolades after the forward had earlier won the Football Writers' Association Women's Player of the Year award.

"It's pleasing to see Khadija receiving multiple accolades for her achievements. She obviously, worked hard to improve her craft and the results have been overwhelming. The management and staff of the federation congratulate her heartily and wish her a speedy recovery from her injury," the statement credits Ricketts as saying.

Shaw scored 21 goals and added three assists in 18 games for Manchester City before injury curtailed her season.
