Recent graduate of Vere Technical High School Valentina Eugene Wisdom is grateful for the results she got in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) - eight ones and a grade two.

For her, it is the beginning of her road to being a medical doctor, and as she shares with the CENTRAL STAR, it is a career that has always fascinated her.

Wisdom said that studying was not a challenge for her as she knew how to balance her activities as a United Nations Club member and being a part of the track club.

"I try to study whenever I get the time; however, I study best at nights, so I had to ensure that I completed all my other duties before I study. Also, I had to discipline myself and with the help of my mother and sisters, the long hours of studying in the night became a part of my routine," she said.

Wisdom also said that she made it a practice to always reinforce whatever she was taught so that it stays fresh in her mind.

Wisdom said her mother has been her greatest influence and the one who guided and motivated her every step of the way to accomplish her goals.

"She has always reminded me to have faith and to trust in the Lord, and that's one of the reasons I want to accomplish so I can help her," she said.

Looking ahead, Wisdom said her ultimate dream is become a successful medical doctor and help her mother, Jennifer Wisdom, and siblings, while contributing to charities.
