Radcliffe Campbell Sr is going through his darkest hour. Two weeks ago, his son 24-year-old Radcliffe Campbell Jr. went missing and has not been seen or heard from since.

"This has been one the hardest time of my life, I don't know how I'm going through this or how I'm going to handle myself after," the elder Campbell told THE STAR.

"I'm up right through the night and I think this is how it will be until I can hear something," added the father, who has been a police officer for 31 years. "His mother is going through a rough time, too, because he is much closer to her than me so it can't be easy. I really feel it for her."

On Monday, December 14, Campbell Jr was last seen by his mother at Parkington Plaza in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew. He reportedly left after receiving a phone call and told her he was heading home to Glengoffe, St Catherine, where he resided with his father.

no response

"Since then nobody has heard from him. We call his two phones, WhatsApp, everything and no response," the father detailed. Campbell Jr was dressed in a blue shirt with white markings on it, paired with blue joggers pants and black loafers.

The senior Campbell said that with each passing day, he fears that something bad might have happened to his son.

"I feel that something has really happened to him by now. I'm not looking to find him alive, there is not much hope in that," he told THE STAR. "I'm a police officer and I investigate things like this often and it never really work out positive."

The veteran lawman said all attempts to locate his son have been futile. "We are trying to trace the calls he made last and such, but they not leading to anything," he said. "I'm hoping I can at least get something before the week ends."

Campbell Jr was recently employed at a law firm where he did auditing. His father laments that his son "just a start life".

"He works from home most of the time so he barely goes out," he said. "Furthermore, he is not the type of person to leave and not call. He would have contacted his mother or even his cousins who he grew up with."

Having gone through Christmas without his son, Campbell Sr. is hoping that the old saying, the dark nights endured by his family may be replaced by light.

"If anybody see or hear anything, just please come forward so I can get at least some kind of closure," the distraught father said.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Radcliffe Campbell Jr is being asked to contact the Constant Spring police at (876)924-1419 or Radcliffe Campbell Sr at (876)898-8496.
