Senior charged with sexually assaulting grandkids
A St Catherine senior citizen who allegedly sexually assaulted his three grandchildren has been charged by the police.
The 69-year-old man has been charged with three counts of rape. He has been booked to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on February 28, when the cases against him will be mentioned. It is alleged that the accused, who was entrusted with the complainants, sexually assaulted them last year while they were in his care.
One of the children reportedly told another relative with whom she went to live in another parish. The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse then launched a probe. The investigation widened, with the St Catherine North police joining in. The man was arrested and subsequently charged.
