"Slow down on the road or you will not get your space in God's kingdom." This is the message that self-proclaimed warner woman and queen of the gospel, Eve Campbell, says she has been given by the Almighty to share with the nation.

Campbell, known for her yearly recommendations of colours to wear for the festive season, said the Lord told her to warn Jamaicans about the way in which they have been using the roads.

"God said not to race on the road. If you are going somewhere, just take time drive until you reach where you are going. He said where they are going is not going to move before they reach. If you dead by racing, and you give away you life, and your soul never save, you are not going to see God's face," she said.

LOST LIVES

According to the Road Safety Unit, last year, 484 persons lost their lives in traffic crashes in Jamaica, the highest number in more than a decade. As of March 21, 105 persons have been killed from fatal crashes. Fatalities have increased by 15 per cent when compared with a similar period last year. Road fatalities are projected to be 447 this year.

Campbell said she is alarmed by the number of road crashes and is urging motorists to obey the word of God.

"Listen good, take your time and drive. Is over 30 years I am preaching and when God speak to me, I have to come and warn. Too much people dying by accident and God don't like it because him know that you cannot repent after you die. Remember is God say it, is Him give me the word to give out," the colourful preacher woman said.

Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed messenger said that Jamaicans have been disobedient to the word of God, as she is yet to receive $2 million that He told her, in a vision, that persons should deposit in her bank account. She said that the money is needed to build a radio station and to purchase a bus for the ministry.

"Mi go the bank whe mi open the account and the teller tell mi say nuh money not in there. Is not me say mi must get the money, is God seh suh. Is over 30 years mi a preach the gospel and giving out colours to wear, and mi nuh get nothing in return. Mi want a radio station so mi can have mi service dem," she said.
