Gallons of oil stolen from company; one employee arrested

The police in Kingston have arrested and charged 34-year-old Cordell Morris, after he was allegedly caught on CCTV cameras stealing gallons of diesel oil from his employer. 

Morris, who is a electrical technician from Kingston 16, has been charged with four counts of Simple Larceny.

It is reported that on four occasions, spanning from November 2023, Morris was recorded on his company’s CCTV cameras; using his Honda Fit motor car to load the oil that he allegedly stole from the company’s generator.

After investigations were carried out it was revealed that Morris took approximately 1025 litres of oil with an estimated value of JMD 250,000.

He was subsequently arrested and charged. His court date is being finalised.
