Health imposter, associates charged
Kazrae Gray, the prankster who led several notable members of the public into believing he was a heath inspector, has been officially charged.
The 32-year-old has been charged with breach of the profession’s supplementary to medicine act and conspiracy at common law to breaches of the profession’s supplementary to medicine act.
Gray's two associates, Orain Harris and Ayden Smart - both 23-years-old - were also charged.
The charges stem from an incident at the reopening of the Crab Circle at Heroes Circle in St Andrew, which was previously closed by the Ministry of Health for unsanitary practises.
It is reported that the accused presented themselves as public health officers to the attendees by way of mimicking the attire of public health inspectors, presenting fraudulent identification cards.
Gray went as far as to address the audience, falsely representing himself as a health inspector.
The actions of the accused were recorded and uploaded on social media, which subsequently led to their arrest and charged.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force says it takes such acts of impersonation and the breach of public trust very seriously.
Their court dates are to be determined.
