Police seize illegal firearm in Old Harbour

The police in St Catherine are reporting that a major operation in and around the Old Harbour area has resulted in the seizure of an illegal gun and ammunition.

It is reported that about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the police party descended on Titter Lane, Dagger Bay, and Old Harbour Bay as part of an intelligence driven operation.

During the efforts, a search was carried out along a fence line where the team recovered a nine-millimetre pistol with a magazine containing 10 rounds.

No arrest was made.

Old Harbour Bay has featured prominently on reports from the St Catherine South Police Division with a number of crimes including: murder, and guns & drugs seizures.
