Seven inmates escape from Oracabessa Police Station
A manhunt has been launched to recapture seven inmates who reportedly escaped from the Oracabessa Police Station in St Mary.
It was discovered the men were missing during a routine cell check conducted about 6:00 a.m. this morning.
Early reports suggest that the escapees, who were in custody for serious crimes, managed to escape from custody by cutting through a ventilation grille.
They are:
- Tray Walker, 24, from Claremont in St Ann. Charged with Rape.
- Jahmala Vernon, 25, from Boscobel in St Mary. Charged with Robbery.
- Phillip Williams, 22, from Belfield in St Mary was charged for Shooting with Intent.
- Linton Bailey, 22-year-old from Jacks River in St Mary. Charged for shooting.
- Twenty-six-year-old Lashawn Davidson of Jacks River St Mary. Charged for Shooting.
- Twenty-one-year-old Nolando Akenson of Pimento Walk, St Ann and Boscobel, St Mary was charged for Robbery.
- Twenty-eight-year-old Gaveen Hurd of Stony Hill, St. Andrew and Enfield, St Mary. Charged with Murder.
