The police have confirmed that the Unruly Boss, Andre ‘Popcaan’ Sutherland, has been slapped with several charges stemming from the mishaps which occurred during the closing stages of Unruly Fest in December.

The event, which returned to Yallahs in St Thomas after a two-year hiatus, ended abruptly following police intervention in the middle of a slew of performances.

“That’s why St Thomas can’t betta,” exclaimed a disgruntled Popcaan.

The police’s Corporate Communications Unit says he was charged with the use of indecent language, disorderly conduct, using abusive and calumnious language, issuing a threat to police officers and breaches of the Noise Abatement Act.

The jam-packed event featured the likes to follow top artistes Jashii, Sean Paul, Skillibeng and U.S. rapper, Quavo.

Sutherland is to appear in the St. Thomas Parish Court on Wednesday, January 10.
